Google User Data

your explicit permission, and only to provide the features you have turned on. This section
applies to all data received from Google APIs and takes precedence over any other part of
this Privacy Policy.
What We Access and Why
- Gmail: to show your practice's inbox inside Flossly, to detect new patient enquiries in incoming emails so they can be added to your CRM as leads, and to let your team reply to, archive, and mark emails as read or unread from Flossly. Flossly only sends an email when a member of your team writes and sends it, and never permanently deletes your email
- Google Calendar: to create a dedicated calendar for each clinician and keep your diary appointments in sync on those calendars. Flossly can only see and change the calendars it creates, not your other calendars or events
- Google Business Profile: to display and manage your practice's profile, reviews, and performance insights
- Google Search Console (read-only): to show your website's search performance in your dashboard
- Google Ads: to show your ad campaign performance and connect ad leads to your CRM
- Basic profile (name and email address): to identify which Google account is connected
How We Use Google User Data
We use Google user data only to provide and improve the user-facing features described
above, which are visible in your Flossly account. We do not use Google user data for any
other purpose. In particular, we do not:
- Use Google user data to serve advertisements, including retargeting, personalised, or interest-based advertising
- Sell Google user data, or share it with data brokers or information resellers
- Use Google user data to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes
- Use Google user data for marketing communications, analytics, or research unrelated to providing the features above
- Use Google user data to develop, improve, or train generalised artificial intelligence or machine learning models
- Allow humans to read Google user data, unless you give us your consent for specific messages (for example, for support), it is necessary for security purposes such as investigating abuse, or it is required by law
Sharing of Google User Data
We do not transfer Google user data to third parties except as necessary to provide the
features above, to comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale
of assets with notice to you. To identify patient enquiries in your Gmail inbox, email content
is processed by our AI service provider (OpenAI or Anthropic) under API terms that prohibit
them from using the data to train their models.
Storage, Retention, and Deletion
- OAuth tokens are individually encrypted, Google user data is stored in an encrypted database and transmitted over encrypted (TLS) connections, and it is protected by the other security measures described in this policy
- We keep Google user data only while the related Google service is connected
- You can disconnect Gmail, Google Calendar, or any other Google service at any time in Flossly's CRM Connections, or revoke access at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions
- When you disconnect a Google service, we immediately stop accessing it and delete the data we synced from it, such as our copy of your inbox, your reviews, and your search and ads data. When no other Google service is still connected, we also revoke Flossly's access with Google. Emails, calendars, and events in your own Google account are not affected
- You can also ask us to delete any Google user data we hold by emailing privacy@dev-haus.com, and we will do so within 30 days
Limited Use Disclosure

Email Open and Click Tracking
Marketing campaigns and automated follow-up emails that practices send through Flossly may
contain:
- A small invisible image (a tracking pixel) that records when the email is opened
- Links that pass through Flossly, so a click can be recorded before you are taken to the destination
We record only when the email was first opened, when its links were clicked and how many
times, linked to that email and recipient. We do not record your IP address, location, or
device from these requests. Practices use this to see how their emails perform, and we
process it on their behalf. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can
stop open tracking by turning off automatic image loading in your email app. Replies that a
practice sends from its connected Gmail account through Flossly contain no tracking.
Cookie Management: You can control cookies via browser settings. Disabling essential cookies
may impact functionality.
